Your Accommodation:
The Hotel is located just 100km from Lisbon, in the small village of Mora, this historic manor house is a serene place where time slows down, and guests can live the genuine Alentejo.
Perched at the top of a hill, with a garden perfumed by exuberant vegetation, the house stands out like a belvedere over the vast Alentejo plain.
Built in 1898 by a noble farming family, the house has maintained its original features over the years. Its grand architecture inspired the comfort and personalised service that our boutique hotel provides today.
We recreated a manor house, with modern comforts and old-fashioned service, with the unrivalled service of a butler and our cook, Dona Maria. All this is based on the small details, customisation and anticipation of each of our guests’ needs.
Inside and out, the Hotel provides experiences marked by the local community, producers, products, and traditions so that each guest is left with unique memories of our land and the desire to come back.
“In Mora, take your time”! This is the motto in Mora.
A different notion of time, in which tasks are not imposed. Instead, they just blend in with traditions, customs, history and enjoying the simple things of everyday life.
This is the motto of the village, and this is their inspiration. They offer a different dimension of time, where you set the rhythm without schedules. Because in the Alentejo, time is different, where simple things have a special meaning.
The house has three very different floors, each one presenting unique characteristics and charm.
The lower floor features rooms with vaulted ceilings and balconies with exquisite views of the Alentejo plains. Large windows, with wooden shutters painted with Victorian frescoes and a very high ceiling, mark the architecture of the ground floor.
While the mansard floor, below the roof, features four cosy bedrooms with breathtaking views over the plains.
Each one of the rooms has been designed and equipped to provide customers with an experience in which time has its own dimension, combined with the comfort, serenity and tranquillity that make it a unique and privileged place.
For the comfort of the guests and to make them feel at home, each room is equipped with Sleep-in-Heaven Mattresses, Hypoallergenic pillows, 100% Cotton Bath Towels, Towels and Robes, Cotton bedroom slippers, Outdoor /swimming pool slippers, Biodegradable Shower Gel and Shampoo, Standard and USB sockets, Nespresso Coffee Machine, Smart TVs with multilingual channels.
