Agriturismo Tara is a charming countryside retreat with a spa, lovingly managed by David and Francesca, nestled in the heart of the Umbrian countryside.
Surrounded by 7 hectares of farmland, the property is home to fruit trees, olive groves, vineyards, and cultivated fields.
Guests can choose between three cosy B&B rooms in the main farmhouse or a spacious, independent cottage, perfect for couples or families.
Some rooms in the farm stay have private entrance and are equipped with desk and outdoor furniture. Each room is fitted with a kettle and a private bathroom with a bidet and bathrobes, while some rooms are fitted with a fully equipped kitchen fitted with a dishwasher. The rooms are equipped with heating facilities.
Buffet and à la carte breakfast options with fruits, juice and cheese are available each morning at the farm stay. There is a coffee shop on-site.

The return leg takes you through forest trails, forming a circular route that will delight both your eyes and soul in one of the most scenic areas around Amelia.
Cammino di Germanico – a route that winds through ancient olive groves of the Rajo variety, now protected by Slow Food. Discover these centuries-old trees, some between 300 and 600 years old, as you walk through the stunning hills of Montecampano, a charming hamlet of Amelia. Starting from the main square, you’ll descend into the olive groves that surround what was once a castle.
Tasting at local brewery– Uncover the secrets of fermentation and taste the region’s golden ale.
Cooking class – Chocolate-making workshop with a local cooperative committed to social causes.
Picnic with local products – Enjoy a picnic amidst the olive trees, before continuing your trek along the Cammino di Germanico.

Collect your rental car in either Rome or Florence, and embark on a journey to Umbria, Italy’s lush green heart. Your destination is Amelia, the oldest city in Umbria, predating even Rome! With over 3,000 years of history, Amelia invites you to explore its ancient medieval walls, charming squares, and narrow cobblestone streets, each telling stories from centuries past.
You’ll be staying in a beautiful agriturismo surrounded by centuries-old olive groves, lovingly run by a local family. Enjoy a free evening to relax and unwind.
Day 2: Gourmet Trek and Local Delights

Day 4: Trekking the Cammino di Germanico
Today, you’ll embark on a trek along the Cammino di Germanico, a route that winds through ancient olive groves of the Rajo variety, now protected by Slow Food. Discover these centuries-old trees, some between 300 and 600 years old, as you walk through the stunning hills of Montecampano, a charming hamlet of Amelia. Starting from the main square, you’ll descend into the olive groves that surround what was once a castle.
Enjoy a picnic amidst the olive trees, before continuing your trek along the Cammino di Germanico, which crosses the entire Amelia region and its distinctive hamlets.
In the afternoon, treat yourself to some well-deserved relaxation at the agriturismo’s spa.
Dinner is at your leisure, followed by an overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure After breakfast, check out and set off for your journey home. Return your rental car at the airport, bringing your Italian adventure to a close.
